Safehold Malware Scanning

Files downloaded from your Passages browsing session will be inaccessible in Safehold until they have been scanned for malware. Safehold automatically scans downloaded files for known malware with a suite of multiple best-of-class anti-malware tools, including an advanced scanning tool that uses machine technology to capture potential malware as well as known. Files that are being scanned will be designated with the scanning icon and highlighted in yellow. Infected files will be marked as malware and sent to Quarantine.

                       
NOTE:  Files being scanned for malware will be inaccessible until the scan is complete.

If malware is encountered, the item will be quarantined. Users do not have access to quarantined items, and admins are immediately notified if an infected item is found. If you believe a file was mistakenly flagged as malicious, you can contact our administrator to release the file pending their review. You can learn more about quarantined items here.

If malware is not encountered, the item will be made available for you in Safehold. You will have the option to perform a variety of actions, including deleting, renaming, or organizing the item into a new folder.
